Jazz: Kevin Figes Ad Hoc Quartet

Due to illness, poor Brigitte Beraha has had to cancel the first part of her tour, so many thanks for the musicians above for stepping in at short notice. The great thing about the Bristol scene is that it is often possible to put a really strong line-up together at short notice.

Kevin Figes is of course a stalwart of the scene, endlessly creative and productive with his many projects, Pig Records label and now short film ventures. The band will probably mainly play standard material, but perhaps a couple of Kevin’s original tunes if a quick rehearsal is managed beforehand – just to be clear this line-up has been assembled especially for tonight’s gig and is not one of Kevin’s regular projects.
